Simple energy saving solutions offer "win-win" situation for businesses
Companies keen to enhance their ecological credentials can start becoming greener by investing in simple energy saving solutions, it has been suggested.
Tom Gribbin, senior campaign manager at Together.com, made his comments after the EU-wide compulsory phase out of incandescent light bulbs began on September 1st.
He explained that there are many benefits that can be reaped from adopting simple energy saving solutions such as energy-saving bulbs.
For example, as well as reducing an enterprise's carbon footprint, such tools also use less energy than their traditional counterparts and can help to reduce outgoings, a fact that could carry even more weight when the current economic climate is taken into consideration.
"It's win-win - not only for the consumer, but for the environment too - as it reduces people's carbon footprint," Mr Gribbin stated.
Concluding, the sector commentator noted that a number of retailers have stopped supplying certain ranges of incandescent bulbs in their outlets as a result of the ban.
