Public attitudes towards climate change could spur greener living business opportunities
The future emergence of greener living business opportunities seems guaranteed if the latest revelations on global attitudes towards energy conservation are anything to go by.
A new survey coordinated by the University of Maryland's Programme on International Policy Attitudes (Pipa) has found that most people around the world want their leaders to take climate change seriously, reports the UK Guardian.
Some 73 per cent of those polled in the global study want this issue to be a top priority, which could lead to more investment in conservation programmes and technologies and create opportunities for companies to invest.
China registered a high percentage of supporters for the idea with 94 per cent backing the notion, while the UK polled in at 77 per cent.
And despite Obama being a champion for the cause, only 44 per cent of Americans felt that his administration should keep climate change at the centre of the political agenda.
Such strong public support could also result in increased awareness of conservation and result in more companies investing in energy-saving products and solutions.
