Enigin - US City Funding Initiative For Energy Efficient Implementations
A $950,000 federal grant has been given to the US city of Macon, to upgrade the roof of City Hall, replace the heating and cooling systems at the City Auditorium, and implement all other necessary changes aiming to save energy.
Enigin PLC operate all over the world to provide public buildings and businesses with energy saving technology and equipment. Macon's City Auditorium cooling system upgrade is a perfect example of a solution that Enigin distributors can offer, thereby representing an exciting business opportunity for Enigin partners.
The grant, from the U.S. Department of Energy, was readily accepted by the Appropriations Committee on Monday and doesn't require any matching funding from the city.
The full council is expected to vote tonight to accept the money, which will open the way to starting on the implementation of the energy saving systems.
The energy efficient solutions that Enigin distributors supply achieve real results in reducing carbon emissions, which is essential to the current global goal to limit the impacts of climate change. Saving energy with Enigin also means cutting down on wastage and preserving our planet's natural resources, which is central to fighting global warming.
The energy efficiency industry is among the most interesting sectors to be in commercially, and being an Enigin distributor means taking part in what is currently a fantastic business opportunity, with the present boom in energy saving demand and the wide array of initiatives taken by governments globally to reduce carbon emissions.
$515,212 of the grant is expected to be used to retrofit the City Auditorium's heating and cooling systems, which are currently dated and "inefficient", according to the city representatives.
By installing energy efficient systems in the Auditorium, over 900,000 kilowatt hours of energy would be saved each year. This equates to approximately 700 tons of CO2 emissions and a saving of more than $56,000 per year.
Saving energy through companies like Enigin is undeniably and clearly beneficial to all, for both environmental and financial reasons. Enigin partners are in the right industry at the right time, and people who are thinking of joining Enigin have chosen the best time to do so!
Macon City's funding initiative is an encouraging example, which it is hoped will provide a good incentive for other cities to adopt new energy saving schemes.
