Enigin Update - Virgin Islands Announce Small Business Energy Efficiency Rebate

THE U.S. VIRGIN Islands (V.I.) Energy Office is to unveil a new energy efficiency rebate program to help small businesses today.

The programme “Worthwhile Investments Save Energy” is part of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Better Buildings Initiative.
The rebate programme is designed to help businesses reduce their operating costs through cutting energy waste and hence energy costs.

Karl Knight, V.I. Energy Office Director, explained: "This programme focuses on serving small businesses because they are a vital component of the Virgin Islands economy, and we remain committed to helping them weather the present economic hardships."

To qualify for the programme small service and retail businesses must use 30,000 kilowatt hours or less of electricity monthly, they must also own their buildings or have long-term leases.

The businesses must already be participating in the Worthwhile Investments Save Energy (WISE) programme, to be eligible for up to 40 percent rebate off the cost of energy efficient retrofits in their facilities.

WISE was developed to help V.I. businesses and residents to reduce energy costs, while meeting Governor John deJongh Jr's target of a 60 percent reduction in fossil fuel dependence by 2025.

Enigin provide the ideal solution for small to medium size enterprises to improve their energy efficiency, with a range of energy efficiency technology that not only saves energy and costs but also provides control of energy use in the hands of business owners.

These cutting edge solutions are available exclusively through the global network of Enigin Distributors.
