Enigin Update - Ukraine and Japan Cooperate on Energy Saving
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhii Tihipko's has released details of cooperation between Ukraine and Japan to develop energy savings and alternative power sources.
Tadashi Idzava, Japan's Ambassador to Ukraine, confirmed Japan's interest in cooperating with the Eastern European country with “green investments.
Tihipko released a statement, saying that Ukraine wanted to promote projects in employing advanced energy saving technologies and using alternative sources of energy.
Enigin Distributors in the region have the technology to help Ukraine’s commerce, industry and the public sector become energy efficient in a logical and intelligent way.
“We are interested in implementation of investment projects within the framework of the Kyoto Protocol. In particular, Ukraine today needs to employ advanced energy saving technologies,” the vice prime minister said.
He sees the development of economic relations with Japan to be a key strategic goal in achieving these goals.
News agencies have been reporting recently that Ukraine favoured facilitating economic cooperation and interstate political dialogue particularly with China and Japan.
Ukraine is interested in attracting Japanese investments to promote the energy saving industry in the country.
