Enigin Update - Richmond SMEs offered Energy Efficiency Grants
BUSINESSES in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames have been given a financial boost thanks to a new energy efficiency grant.
SMEs (Small and medium-sized enterprises) in the Southwest London town can apply for up to £1,000 from the local authority, Richmond Council, to help buy energy efficient equipment, to help reduce energy costs.
Richmond’s Business Energy Efficiency Fund offers almost twice as much other similar energy efficiency grants available in other London Boroughs, and is just part of a package of support measures for the areas retailers and companies.
Richmond’s cabinet member for communities, business and culture, Pamela Fleming, explained: “Local shops and small businesses are the back bone of our high streets and employ thousands of local people.
“The council and businesses still face difficult financial times, but it is important we continue to provide useful help to businesses in the area.”
Enigin Distributors in west London are aiding local businesses to improve their energy efficiency by using technology and equipment from Enigin - these sorts of grant are a boost to them as well as local SMEs.
