Enigin Update - New Hampshire Companies REAP Energy Efficiency Funding
FIVE New Hampshire, U.S., companies received energy efficiency grants and loans totaling $285,454, the U.S. Department of Agriculture revealed on Monday.
The grants and loan guarantees are being provided through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), a 2008 Farm Bill initiative.
Molly Lambert, State director for Rural Development, said, “The REAP (Rural Energy for America Program) programme is helping many agricultural producers and rural small businesses reduce energy consumption and improve operations.”
UnionLeader.com provide an example of energy efficiency saving, Quality Castings and Aluminum Products LLC in New Hampshire received a $36,987 grant to improve energy-efficient in their casting facility, they expect to save 83 percent in annual energy costs.
