Enigin Update - Macedonia to Improve Energy Efficiency in Hospitals

FYR Macedonia's Ministry of Health is running a pilot programme focussing on improving the energy efficiency of the countries hospitals.

Two-pilot institutions - Gostivar General Hospital and Stip Clinical Hospital - have been chosen for the two-year study as part of an agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO).

"We not only have energy-inefficient facilities, but also a large percentage of energy losses in the system, which represents an additional cost and environment pollution.

“By increasing energy efficiency in facilities we will directly contribute to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions", said Health Minister Nikola Todorov at a workshop on Monday titled "Energy Efficiency in Health Sector".

Enigin Distributors in the region can help hospitals and other public buildings to save energy through improving energy efficiency and managing where and when energy is used by applying Enigin plc's EnergyMaps programme, along with the related technology which gives control of energy use to decision makers.
