Enigin Update - First Wave of Australian Energy Efficiency Financing

THE MELBOURNE City Council is one of six recipients of energy efficiency financing from the Australian Carbon Trust.

Australian Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, Greg Combet, announced the signing of multi-million dollar financial agreements between the Trust and six major organisations.

The Australia Carbon Trust was set up to encourage and promote energy efficiency and it provides financing and advice on energy efficiency to both public and private organisations.

In the first set of agreements, the Australian Carbon Trust will invest $23.7 million in energy efficiency financing programmes with six businesses including the Melbourne City Council.

“These programs will leverage significant private sector finance to achieve cost-effective energy efficiency improvements for Australian businesses both large and small,” Mr Combet said in a statement.

Australian based Enigin Distributors are already leading public and private sector organisations to save energy and money through application of Enigin PLC's energy saving solutions.
