Enigin Update - China Contiues Push for Energy Efficiency Awareness

THE Chinese Vice Premier appealed for greater efforts in increasing awareness of energy-savings as well as seeing more investments into research for energy-efficiency technology.

Vice Premier Li Keqiang made his remark last week in correspondence to the sponsors of China’s 20th national energy-saving publicity week.

Campaigns and promotional activities were organised during the week, with the aim of increasing awareness and knowledge about conserving energy and to promote energy-saving practices.

Li also said the Chinese government should invest more into energy-saving technologies. He added that long-term strategies for energy-savings need to be established so that the goals of China’s 11th Five-Year Plan for energy-saving can be achieved.

To boost China’s goal for their latest Five-Year Plan is the breaking news that 28 of their 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities met or surpassed energy conservation targets last year, according to figures from the National Bureau of Statistics.

The Tibetan Autonomous Region almost reached the target, while Guizhou province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region fell short.

Enigin Distributors have the ideal leading edge energy efficiency technology to help both public and private sector organisations reduce their CO2 emissions and save money through energy saving.
