INDUSTRY expert Paul Anderson claims that businesses and organisations around the world are becoming increasingly committed to sustainability issues.
Anderson, programme director for infrastructure outsourcing at IT services and business consultancy firm Capgemini, stated that having a sustainability strategy in place has become "critical" for medium to large-scale organisations and companies.
"It will be high on the agenda because of everyone becoming more aware of the requirement,” Anderson said.
"[With] regards to business, for elements of sustainability and greening there can be massive savings and it will bring down the scale of their overall carbon footprint," he added.
Energy saving professionals have been reporting the same message as Anderson for many years and it is heartening to them to hear those from outside of the energy saving industry echo the importance of energy saving.
The sooner businesses realise the critical nature of energy efficiency both environmentally and financially, the better for any nations economy.
