Enigin Update - Australian Climate Group Calls for Action

Enigin Update - Australian Climate Group Calls for Action

CLIMATEWORKS Australia say the country’s failure to embrace energy efficiency projects, and setting a carbon price, is costing business and the whole economy.

The climate think tank outlined over 50 practical ways for policies to be set that would help Australia to reach their five percent emissions reduction target by 2020.

ClimateWorks update of its 2010 Low Carbon Growth Plan for Australia forewarns that failure to adopt incentives, is costing businesses and the country more than AUS$5 million a week.

Anna Skarbek, executive director of ClimateWorks stated: "With each year of delay, more opportunities are lost or become harder and more expensive to catch up."

ClimateWorks Australia claims the failure to implement energy-efficient opportunities just increases the need for a price on carbon to be implemented as soon as possible, which is currently a political hot potato in Australia.

Enigin Distributors across Australia are taking action with many responsible businesses and organisations who are improving their energy efficiency by utilising energy efficiency solutions from Enigin - they also benefit by reducing their carbon emissions and making substantial savings on energy costs.
