Enigin - Russia Implements Energy Efficiency Legislation
A law on energy saving and efficiency has just been
signed by Russian President, Dimtry Medvedev.
Energy saving and efficiency issues will be regulated
by the legislation, which will namely be imposing new
restraints on the use of incandescent light bulbs.
Efficient lighting, such Enigin PLC's LESS system,
will be the preferred choice, for both environmental
and financial reasons.
New laws are being voted worldwide to turn to energy
efficient solutions, giving Enigin distributors a new
business opportunity, through soaring demand.
Saving energy has become a priority on most
governmental agendas, leading to the creation
of new laws that make energy efficiency a mandatory
component for businesses all over the world.
Subsequently, businesses will be turning to energy
efficiency companies, such as Enigin, to upgrade their
equipment with new efficient installations, in compliance
to new legislations.
The Russian law makes compulsory that electrical
products be marked according to their energy efficiency,
and also that a commercial inventory of energy resources
is maintained.
It will also establish new energy efficiency standards for
new buildings and installations.
Last but not least, the new law requests less funds for
energy-resource purchases, and that common areas of
apartment blocks be maintained by energy efficient
methods.
Businesses that consume large amounts of energy will
be required to carry out energy-saving research, adhere
to energy-saving and energy-efficiency programs, for example
by using products that Enigin can supply, and introduce
energy-dependent contracts.
This new protocol will also encompass a transition to a
long-term tariff regulation.
