Enigin - EU Want To Make "Rapid" Moves Towards CO2 Cuts

Enigin - EU Want To Make

Europe's leading environment ministers are on the verge of making 'rapid and efficient' moves towards reducing CO2 emissions.

The meeting was held in Spain, since the Spanish president is the EU's current president, to discuss climate change and how to reach targets, following the disappointing outcome of the climate summit in Copenhagen last month.

Reducing carbon emissions is currently at the heart of all concerns, with methods and measures in progress to curb the trend. The most effective and cost-effective way to reduce carbon emissions is to save energy, with the use of energy efficient technology.

With businesses being responsible for a substantial third of global emissions, developing policies to encourage the implementation of energy efficient systems is the most effective, and cost-effective, way to go about reducing carbon emissions in Europe and worldwide.

For this, energy efficiency companies such as Enigin PLC are here to help. Business owners can rely on Enigin distributors' expertise in the energy saving field to find the most adeffective solutions in order for their business to become energy efficient.

Enigin distributors can supply energy efficient systems anywhere in the world, as well as offer a powerful ally to eradicate energy wastage - the Eniscope. Enigin PLC's Eniscope is an advanced smart, metering monitor which can measure energy consumption, identify wastage and help business owners to analyse trends. It presents the data it collects in an easy-to-read format, in the form of full colored salient graphs, and the information is accessible in real-time, 24/7, from any PC, laptop or iPhone in the world.

The Eniscope gives business owners the opportunity to monitor their energy consumption by acting as a 24hr virtual energy manager.

Enigin PLC's products guarantee a considerable reduction of energy costs (15-20%, sometimes more), and a reduction in the carbon footprint of a business, thereby enhancing its green credentials for its customers.

By using Enigin energy saving products, business owners can save money as soon as the energy saving equipment has been installed (through reduced energy sourcing and relative expenses), as well as adhere to governmental targets to reduce CO2 emissions to curb climate change.

Spanish secretary for climate change, Teresa Ribera, spoke upon closure of the meeting (Informal Council of Environment Ministers EU) last night, and said that ministers were expressing a shared "will" to consolidate a "rapid and efficient" action to fight climate change.

Mrs. Ribera stressed the point of 'comparability of efforts' in the reduction of harmful emissions, highlighting that the figures of 20 and 30% reduction, mentioned on various occasions, are among the EU's arguments in this field.

The EU's Permanent Representatives Committee (COREPER) will be deciding whether the EU will cut its emissions by 30% now, or whether the known figure of 20% will be adhered to in the end for the time being.

Mrs. Ribera further stated that Europe is aiming to achieve a 30% reduction in carbon emissions by 2020, from 1990 levels, on the condition that other countries also take similar actions.

The Spanish secretary insisted on the improvement accomplished in environmental 'governance', enabling rational, efficient use of resources: "we must now work to make the Copenhagen Accord a reality", with sights set on the next climate conference in Mexico at the end of the year.

With encouraging prospects of stringent targets to achieve a 30% reduction in emissions, the time is well chosen for any entrepreneur to join the field of energy efficiency through Enigin, whose distributors are presented with an exciting business opportunity as a result of recent decision-making to tackle climate change.
