Enigin - Energy Efficiency Programme Funds For Europe
An assistance scheme has been launched by The European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB), who have decided to join forces in order to allow local authorities in the region to invest in energy efficiency, such as the technology that companies like Enigin PLC can provide.
This initiative has been christened the European Local Energy Assistance (ELENA).
ELENA aims to provide cities and local authorities with technical assistance to structure and implement cost-effective energy efficiency projects. Energy efficient solutions can save businesses a lot of hard-earned money, through companies like Enigin, and participate in drastically decreasing carbon output.
Enigin distributors can find in such initiatives a tremendous business opportunity, as businesses all over Europe, and across the globe, will be looking to them for the installation of energy efficient products in their premises.
ELENA will mostly focus on helping cities implement energy efficiency programmes, deploy renewable energy and establish sustainable transport systems.
A budget of 15 million Euros is assigned to ELENA in its 1st year, and EIB engineers and economists will provide the technical advice.
Andris Piebalgs, the European Energy Commissioner, says: “With ELENA, we are launching another practical instrument aiming at unlocking the sustainable energy investment potential in European regions and cities”.
EIB president Philippe Maystadt says that energy efficiency has great potential in Europe, which is a belief shared by Enigin PLC.
“This year we expect to lend more than €1 billion for energy efficiency-related projects throughout the European Union. Through ELENA we will be able to offer additional support to cities and regions,” says Mr. Maystadt.
Enigin partners can supply businesses in Europe and worldwide with state-of-the-art energy saving products for all appliances crucial for a business activity - lighting, refrigeration, motors and air conditioning. Enigin distributors have the key products to respond to increasing demand.
For instance, Engin distributors can provide the Eniscope - a smart metering instrument able to quantify energy usage and wastage with a smart display option which presents the collected date in easy-to-read fully colored salient graphs. The Eniscope is a business owner's 24/7 energy management system, available in real-time from any PC, laptop or iPhone in the world.
With companies like Enigin PLC and initiatives such as the European Commission's and the EIB's, the world can actively fight climate change and contribute in reducing carbon emissions, while saving considerable amounts of money on energy costs.
