Enigin - DOE Supports Latin America Energy Efficiency Projects

The US Department of Energy (DOE) will be supporting 3 projects aimed at expanding the development and use of energy efficiency technologies and renewables in Latin America.

The DOE’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and other National Laboratories, will provide technical assistance to the successful projects.

Such initiatives highlight America's committment to the climate change cause, made clearer with Obama's recently enstated administration. Saving energy is the most cost-effective way of reducing carbon emissions in businesses, not only in the US but worldwide.

Energy efficiency companies, such as Enigin PLC, work towards a better future by providing businesses across the globe with the latest technology in energy efficiency, to cater for their most fundamental energy needs - lighting, air conditioning, refrigeration and motors.

Enigin distributors are recognised as energy efficiency specialists and take pride in the quality of their energy saving products and in the standards of their customer service.

By choosing to turn to Enigin distributors, US businesses and businesses worldwide are choosing to save money on a daily basis, from day 1! The installation of Enigin PLC's energy efficient systems is quick and easy, and provides positive cash flow immediately.

By reducing their energy consumption through Enigin, business owners are also reducing their bills and their carbon emissions, in compliance with the increasing number of policies imposing carbon reductions all over the world to reduce the impacts of climate change.

The government of Costa Rica will receive the support of The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to set up an energy efficiency center which will train and certify professionals to advise on energy saving technologies and carry out audits.

The center will also carry out its own research on topical subjects in energy efficiency.

A 2nd project will be aimed at providing local training on conducting energy efficiency audits and retrofits for the following islands - the Caribbean governments of St. Lucia, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The projects will also evaluate the islands’ potential to harness local renewable energy resources.

A similar effort will be undertaken in the 3rd and final project, which aims to demonstrate the suitability of small-scale, distributed wind turbines for Dominica. The work will model commercialisation and impact on the grid of turbines under 250 kW.

Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, comments: “The LCCA initiative offers an opportunity for the Department to work closely with our neighbours to reduce energy use, increase energy security, and promote a low-carbon future."

This behavior invites a colossal business opportunity for entrepreneurs wishing to join the energy efficiency industry via Enigin, as well as for existing Enigin partners.

As the US, and the rest of the world, focuses on environmental issues and on how to save as much energy as possible, Enigin distributors are in the right place at the right time to make the most out of their opportunity.
