Energy saving business opportunities exist in construction sector
An increasing number of consumers may be exploring how to take advantage of emerging energy saving business opportunities in the construction sector if the success of the recently held Greenbuild Expo is anything to go by.
The event, which took place from June 17th to 18th in Manchester, saw more than 50 exhibitors including Centre for Alternative Technology, E.ON, Northern Housing Consortium, the Local Government and EcoSkies attend.
Issues such as carbon reduction, wind turbines and sustainable building policies were explored during the showcase in the venue's main arena as well as in seminars and workshops in numerous other rooms.
Many of the people in attendance were "very interested in sustainability and environmental issues", according to Steve Oxley, deputy editor at sustain' magazine, which was also exhibiting.
The show highlighted the fact that green thinking will continue to remain in the limelight and it offered many homeowners and constructors guidance on how to implement some of their environmentally-friendly ideas.
Cutting wasteful energy use is one of the ways to reduce one's carbon footprint, according to the Carbon Trust.
