Earth Hour Can Help Enigin Distributors Set Focus On Energy Saving

Energy saving is about to come into a global sharp focus, as in just 11 days time the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) holds it Earth Day 2010 - Mar 27, at 8.30pm.

The Earth Day campaign first came to public attention in March 2007, when Sydney, Australia, took the radical step of encouraging a mass turn-off of lights and other electrical appliances among businesses and individuals, in order to promote awareness of the environment.

This year the WWF want a billion people around the world to switch off their lights for one hour, and they have secured official support from more than 100 countries.

They were aiming to have 103 countries involved, a rise from 88 last year, and already many countries are getting involved for the first time, including Saudi Arabia, Madagascar, Kosovo, Nepal, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Paraguay, Ecuador and still more joining daily.

Switching off the lights for just an hour may not reverse decades of environment degradation, but it presents an opportunity to acknowledge the importance of saving energy, and although individuals are getting involved governments, the public sector and business are also weighing-in with support.

Over the next two weeks there will be plenty of publicity about switching off the lights, appliances and computers for an hour and the effect it will have on energy consumption.

With this global publicity it is an ideal time for Enigin Distributors to use this occasion to highlight the energy that can be saved, leading to financial savings and the reduction in carbon emissions.

So remember Earth Day 2010 at 8.30pm, wherever you are and use it to good effect with your clients and participate yourself as a business and an individual.
