Businesses Need Enigin To Save On Rising Costs
Enigin Distributors will be pleased to learn that they can expect their phones to be ringing off the wall as more and more people are concerned about rising energy costs.
A poll conducted by Opinion Matters on behalf of an energy saving advice body, found that up to 49% of firms surveyed were concerned about rocketing energy prices. Energy-intensive businesses such as construction (55 %) and hospitality (52 %) were most worried.
Often environmental concerns are secondary for commerce and industry and even for the managers at the coal face within the public sector. Hence the main reason for becoming energy efficient is to save money, protect profits/budgets and jobs with the added bonus that by so doing you can reduce your carbon footprint.
Enigin Distributors can help leaders in all sectors to manage the energy use within their facility and support behavioural change through the range of solutions available from Enigin.
Climate change deniers have recently been delighted with the news of the IPCC’s (Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change) error stating that the Himalayan Glaciers would disappear by 2035, along with the University of East Anglia’s leaked (or stolen by a foreign power) emails regarding climatic data – as many have used these two stories as reason to encourage forgetting all about climate change and the efforts to reduce the resulting impact.
These revelations shouldn’t be particularly damaging as there is so much more data available regarding climate change, but from a PR viewpoint the reality is that the reports were devastating, with polls already indicating people are less concerned about climate change that previously.
Does this attitude affect Enigin Distributors – it could do so but the truth is that again it should make little difference as there are so many other concerns regarding energy efficiency, with the main concern about rising costs of energy as mentioned at the outset.
In the UK the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Ed Milliband, stated over the weekend that if the denier’s viewpoint was acted upon there would be a failure to invest in energy efficiency and clean energy and this would result in negative result affecting the whole country.
“(The UK) would lose jobs and investment to other countries, have less energy security because of the dependence on oil and gas imports and contribute to damaging temperature rises for future generations.”
Although his primary concern is for the UK what he states applies globally.
As more legislation also comes into force regarding carbon emission reductions it will only add to the reasons for saving energy and becoming environmentally aware and responsible.
Also, once the furore reduces regarding miss-applied reports and held-back scientific research, concerns will again swing back the other way and will increase concerns about the future of the planet.
