Business Opportunities In Hong Kong For Enigin Distributors
Hong Kong’s Secretary for the Environment Edward Yau revealed that the HK Government is carrying out a climate change consultancy study and that they already have funds for energy efficiency improvements.
Yau revealed that the study and current funding will provide good opportunities for, amongst others, Enigin Distributors:
“The projects and auditing work also present green business opportunities,” said Yau.
Measures that are already being implemented include the provision of $450 million under the Environment & Conservation Fund to roll out the Buildings Energy Efficiency Funding Schemes next month.
Yau told HK’s lawmakers that action is already being taken to enhance Hong Kong's overall energy efficiency.
"To date, 300 applications have been approved, and upon completion of the energy-efficiency improvement projects there shall be an annual reduction of 43 million kWh in electricity usage - a reduction of over 30,000 tonnes of carbon-dioxide emissions,” Yau said.
Enigin Distributors are able to help organisations in the private and public sectors to benefit from governmental incentives such as this one, providing audits, advise and action based on a thorough analysis of energy use through Eniscope’s data reports.
The aforementioned consultancy study will assess the likely affect of climate change on Hong Kong, outlining options to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly through energy efficiency, and adapt to climate change.
